Lock closure times on the Moselle
The locks are closed for 10 days every year in order to give the national administrations the possibility to carry out maintenance and, if necessary, repair operations.
The Moselle Commission determines and announces these closure times several years in advance, so that the users of the waterway can take the closures into account in their planning.
Furthermore, notices to skippers are published annually prior to the beginning of the closures in order to give you more detailed information on the closed locks. These notices can be found on the homepage of our website.
